Soleras Awarded 2018 Guarneri String Quartet Residency

We are honored to share that Chamber Music America has named the Solera Quartet as the 2018 recipient of the  Guarneri String Quartet Residency, funded by the Sewell Family Foundation.  With this funding, we will expand our Prison Residency Project under the auspices of Project: Music Heals Us.  The award will allow us to bring our week-long Musical Immersion Program for the first time to Corrigan-Radgowski State Prison, the first incarcerated community we ever performed for.  It was that first concert at Radgowski that inspired us to invest more deeply in sharing music with incarcerated men and women.  So it is especially meaningful for us to be able to bring a week-long intensive program there.  We look forward to sharing our experiences this fall and winter on our blog as these residencies unfold.
